Wendela Wapenaar is Clinical Associate Professor in Cattle Health and Epidemiology at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science in Nottingham, UK.
Before starting her academic career, she worked in farm practice in The Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. Wendela is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Dairy Specialty) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She received her PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology from the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. Wendela likes to travel and enjoys teaching an innovative veterinary curriculum. Her research focusses on addressing current clinical knowledge gaps and transferring research findings to the food animal industry and veterinary profession.
