Abstracts and Posters European Veterinary Conference Voorjaarsdagen

In addition to the invited speakers section, the European Veterinary Conference Voorjaarsdagen hosts three different categories to participate actively in the scientific programme. These categories are the Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award, the VJD Research Award and the Voorjaarsdagen Companion Animal Poster Presentations. For each category a maximum of one entry per author is allowed. The categories are explained in more detail below.

 Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award

De Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award is open for companion animal practioners, interns, residents, and specialists. Aim of the award is to offer a stage to present one or a series of interesting clinical cases with relevance to the companion animal veterinary practitioner.

The abstracts for the Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award will be reviewed by an independent scientific committee. The authors of accepted abstracts will present their studies in 12-minute presentations with an additional 3 minutes dedicated to discussion. The accepted presentations of the Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award will be embedded in the invited speaker’s sessions related to the topic of expertise. In this way the Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award presentations will be attractive for the clinically orientated audience and will evoke a lively discussion.

All selected Voorjaarsdagen Clinical Cases Award presentations receive a complimentary registration to the Voorjaarsdagen Conference. The abstracts and oral presentations will be evaluated by a jury consisting of Prof. dr. Herman Hazewinkel, dr. Martine Carrière-Bothof and dr. Astrid van Dongen. The jury will select a winner and a runner-up. The official announcement of the winners will take place prior to the closing ceremony of the Voorjaarsdagen.
